Welcome and lets go see some movies.

WELCOME TO OUR FILM GROUP/CLUB or whatever you want to call it. We go by the name of THE HOLLYWOOD SPOTLIGHT - which is also the name of a video show we started on the LMG TV Network. As a filmmaker, I am entirely 100% a movie buff. in fact, although I an a writer and director of films myself, I am a movie lover first and foremost. I get lost in movies and it is my favorite pastime. Going to the theater is my own way of escaping reality, or of getting a dose of reality, depending on what I'm watching. I love watching movies at home too suppose you feel the same way.

Now that we have a small club of movie lovers, its time to get this party started. First of all, lets lay out 5 reasons you may enjoy this club.

1. You will learn how to be a better movie critic
2. You have others that you can bond with over the enjoyment of movies.
3. As a filmmaking organization, we are always looking for people that want to talk movies.
4. We have a cool way to network and socialize, in person or over the web.
5. We have a web channel dedicated to the movies.

Here are the 10 objectives for our club members:
1. Agree that our mutual love for watching movies is what binds us together
2. Plan to watch movies as a group (sometimes I can get tickets and other times we have to pay our own way..no big deal.)
3. Attend Film festivals whenever possible..We often get passes.
4. Give your opinion on movies ..post them on Facebook and this blog as well. Even post a video if you can, talking about a specific movie.
5. Give your opinions on good or bad acting, supporting actors, directing, screenplays, and special effects to name a few.

6. Be a guest on our web tv show called THE HOLLYWOOD SPOTLIGHT whenever possible - to talk movies. Join us at film screenings and our upcoming urban Mini Film Fest in March.
7. Invite other movie lover to join us.
8. Suggest movies that we should see, even sleepers.
9. Participate in chats and group discussions when possible to share thoughts about movies.
10. Compete for prizes within our group (such as free movies passes and give-aways.
